The African Student Association at the University of the District of Columbia (UDC) is scheduled to host an African Independence Day Awareness event on Sept. 29 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at 4200 Connecticut Ave., NW. The event is free and will involve games, fun facts, and refreshments will be served.
