Ronald Mason, Jr.
The University of the District of Columbia (UDC) has announced Ronald Mason, Jr. as its new president out of 90 candidates.
He will succeed Dr. James E. Lyons, Sr., who has served as interim president of UDC since March 2013.
Mason’s presidency becomes effective on July 1.
Mason has been the president of Southern University in Baton Rouge, La. since 2010. From 2000-2010, he served as the president of Jackson State University in Mississippi.
