Samuel Coleridge Taylor Elementary School was opened in 1927 as one of the first elementary schools built to educate colored children in the state of Maryland. Many of the school’s graduates have earned doctorates, master’s and bachelor’s degrees and have carved out stellar careers for themselves and their children.

On June 2 and June 3 the school will celebrate its historic contributions to the city and state with events for alumni, current students, former and current teachers and parents at the Radisson Hotel at Cross Keys. For more information call 443-963-6815.
