An expanded six-month series featuring fitness and wellness classes seven days a week at Rash Field Park, West Shore Park and Wills Park will begin this month and run through October.

Waterfront Partnership of Baltimore and Medifast have announced that they will present the 2022 season of Waterfront Wellness, a free outdoor fitness series, beginning on May 16.

New this season, Waterfront Wellness will host classes every day of the week across all three locations. The sessions will be led by Baltimore-based fitness and wellness professionals.

“Our ninth season is shaping up to be our biggest season yet for Waterfront Wellness,” said Laurie Schwartz, president of Waterfront Partnership. “We’re thrilled that we’re able to add Rash Field Park as a new location and can’t wait to have our waterfront – from Federal Hill to Harbor Point–filled with folks socializing and exercising together every day of the week.”

Also, new this year are two family-friendly classes, Mission Fit Bootcamp on Mondays at Rash Field Park and Mommy and Me yoga with Breathing Dragon Yoga on Saturdays in Harbor Point.

A robust incentive program will continue to help motivate participants to meet personal fitness goals. Participants accrue rewards after attending a class and top prizes this year include a Peloton Bike, class packs and monthly memberships to participating gyms, plus workout gear like yoga mats, towels and more.

Baltimore-based Medifast and Waterfront Partnership hope to ignite healthy habits, from healthy bodies in motion to healthy minds, within the Baltimore community through the summer series.

Waterfront Wellness launched in 2012 and is Waterfront Partnership’s longest-running program and its most popular summertime activity. Medifast has supported the initiative since 2015, providing fun, accessible programming that aligns with its mission and helps Baltimoreans build healthy habits. In addition to free fitness and wellness classes, Waterfront Partnership offers Inner Harbor Kayak Tours every Saturday.

Participants of all skill levels are welcome and should bring their own mats, water and sneakers, if necessary. Classes will begin promptly so arriving early is encouraged in order to socialize and get set up. Pre-registration is required as each class will be limited to 50 participants.
