Cardin Brings ‘Made in Maryland’ Jobs Tour to Penguin Random House in Carroll County

New Technologies are Opening the Door for More Products to be “Made in Maryland”

Friday, June 20 at 1:30PMU.S. Senator Ben Cardin, a member of the Senate Small Business Committee, will visit Penguin Random House in Westminster for a tour and talk with employees.  Penguin Random House, the world’s largest trade publisher, formed in 2013 when Penguin and Random House merged. They employ 800 people at their Westminster Distribution Center and have plans to expand at a time when many other warehouses are shrinking. 

“This is all about jobs and investments in our local communities. I look forward to every opportunity to meet with the innovators who are investing in our communities by investing in their workers. I will do all that I can to ensure that the federal government remains a partner in their success and not an obstacle.”
