The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) is investigating a shooting in Southwest Baltimore that injured six people on July 19, including one victim who remains in critical condition.
According to BPD, about 9:45 p.m. that evening, officers received reports of a shooting on the 2600 block of Hollins Ferry Road. When they arrived on scene, they discovered an 18-year-old male and a 21-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel transported the men to an area hospital.
Officers later learned that another 18-year-old male had walked into a firehouse on Annapolis Road seeking treatment for non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital.
Shortly after, three more male victims—two who were 17 and one who was 19—walked into local hospitals after sustaining non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.
BPD confirmed that all of the victims were shot in the same location.
Five of the six victims are in stable condition, while the 21-year-old male remains in critical condition while undergoing surgery, according to a July 20 news release from BPD. Detectives in BPD’s Southern District are investigating the shooting and have asked anyone with information to contact them at 410-396-2499.
