The leaders at Bon Secours Hospital along with the pastors of Central Baptist Church and Jones Tabernacle are joining forces to host at Bon Secours Hospital, 2000 W. Baltimore Street, an event for the community, Sept. 13 from 10:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. to encourage fellowship, partnership and healthy living. For the past 26 years Central Baptist Church and Jones Tabernacle which are located adjacent to the hospital have hosted a Fall Festival. Nearly 1,000 neighbors gather to celebrate community, collect free back to school supplies and enjoy food and fellowship. For the second year, Bon Secours Hospital is joining the partnership along with Coppin State University to host “Community Day.” The hospital will open its doors to provide an array of free health screenings. “Community Day and the Fall Festival were a big success last year. We provided everything from flu shots to assistance on how to enroll in health insurance.” said CEO Samuel Ross. “One of our goals is to ensure people who live in our community have access to quality healthcare. During Community Day our neighbors will have access to several primary care physicians and health screenings from basically every department within the hospital.”
