In 2014, President Obama launched the My Brother’s Keeper initiative to address persistent opportunity gaps faced by boys and young men of color and ensure that all young people can reach their full potential. Dr. Roger Mitchell, Jr.  is the chairman of My Brother’s Keeper DC. Join Dr. Mitchell and participants in the program for a conversation on May 5 about the strategies they use to make a difference in the lives of boys and young men of color and why this matters for the city. The conversation will take place at Carnegie Library, 801 K Street, from 2 p.m.-3 p.m.
