Studio A, NBC4 located in Northwest, Washington, D.C. was the site of a Celebration of Black History and the heritage of African Americans in our community sponsored by NBC4 in partnership with McDonalds and Prince George’s Community College. Hosted by veteran NBC4 News Anchors, Jim Vance and Pat Lawson Muse, welcoming remarks were provided by Jackie Bradford, President and General Manager, NBC4.

The celebration featured special recognitions of the Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Albert Edmonds, USAF; The Washington Afro American Newspaper; The Washington Informer Newspaper and the Oxon Hill High School Choir who also performed three musical selections. The celebration was highlighted by the presentation of a $5000 check to Strive D.C. for their efforts in making a difference in the lives of young people throughout our communities. Special remarks were given by Isaac Green, local McDonald’s Franchise Owner. A reception followed…thanks for the Black History remembrance.
