From Nov. 11– 12, free performances of Henri Matisse’s “Color’s Garden” are slated to be available at 6th & Constitution Ave, NW. Inspired by the art of Henri Matisse, “Color’s Garden” is a play that celebrates the joys and discoveries of making a new kind of art. Color, who dreams of making something new all on her own, leads her friends Line and Shape on an imaginative adventure. Following each performance, families will be invited to make collages and will be provided with self-guiding resources to explore the elements of art in the Gallery’s collection. The performances is scheduled to start at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.On Nov. 12, performances are scheduled for 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Seats are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis.
