MSAC’s Maryland Public Art Initiative has two open Calls for Artists on Maryland historically black college and university (HBCU) campuses.

Coppin State University College of Business, Baltimore
The new College of Business building will include a high visibility, site-specific public artwork along North Avenue.

  • Gateway Artwork ($190,000)

University of Maryland Eastern Shore School of Pharmacy & Health Professions, Princess Anne
This new building will include two separate, site-specific public art commissions.

  • Interior Atrium & Lobby Wall ($175,000)
  • Entrance Plazas & Sidewalks ($85,000)

The application requires only background images, resume, and statement of interest. No artwork proposals at this stage. For each commission, three to four semi-finalist artists or artist teams will be selected to develop proposals and receive a $2,500 honorarium.
