College Consensus 2020

BALTIMORE — Coppin State University (CSU) has been ranked among the top 20 Best Values Universities in the nation for 2020, according to a college ranking website.

College Consensus (collegeconsensus.com), a unique college ranking website that aggregates publisher rankings and student reviews, has ranked CSU 17th among best value colleges and universities in the nation.

The website reviews rankings from Forbes, Money, U.S. News and World Report, The Wall Street Journal, Wallethub and Washington Monthly. Then the website averaged student review scores from such websites as Cappex, Niche, Student Review and more to assess a student review rating.  College Consensus then combines the data factoring in tuition costs to develop rankings.

Nationwide, with the continued rise in college and university tuition costs, many students graduate with debts in the with tens of thousands of dollars. According to the Federal Reserve, more than half of young adults who went to college in 2018 took on debt. CSU tuition is among the lowest in the University System of Maryland.
