Ben’s Chili Bowl has become an undeniable staple in the District’s food culture. Chili-laden half-smokes, piquant hot dogs and mounds of French fries have made this hometown hotspot an international destination.

But nearby Marylanders won’t have to go far when the urge for a signature chili dog strikes. Ben’s Chili Bowl has announced a partnership with Six Flags America that will bring their famed food to two locations throughout the Bowie theme park and Hurricane Harbor Water Park. The new venue marks the first theme park location and only the fifth place in the metropolitan area where Ben’s Chili Bowl lovers can nosh on the comfort food delicacies crafted by founder Ben Ali more than 50 years ago.

Since 1958, Ben’s Chili Bowl has been a Washington, D.C. institution, serving meals for blue-collar workers, students, international leaders and everyone in between. The restaurant – and its upscale spinoff Ben’s Next Door – is run by Ali’s sons Kamal and Nizam.
