Philadelphia Eagles backup quarterback Vince Young is being sued for a strip club altercation that occurred in Dallas last year.

According to the Associated Press, Creiton Kinchen says the athlete punched him “suddenly and without provocation” at Onyx, a Dallas, Texas club in June 2010.

Kinchen, who manages the club, filed a lawsuit against Young on Oct. 25. He claims the incident occurred after he refused to convert $8,000 from Young’s credit card into dollar bills to be used for tips.

But the athlete contends that Kinchen provoked him first. He released a statement shortly after the scuffle.

“I just made a mistake, I made a mistake even being there and I let that guy provoke me into doing what I did,” Young told reporters back in 2010, according to a previous AFRO article. “I pray to God that Roger Goodell doesn’t come down hard on me, because I definitely want to be here for my teammates.”

The past year has been troublesome for Young. Last month, an impersonator surfaced in Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. and conned money out of several fans. A suspect was later arrested in Maryland.
