Joseph and Mary Bailey will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary, Sept. 21 and the family is hosting a tribute on Sept. 18.
With God’s grace, they have raised four children with wisdom, joy, fun, and a strong hand when needed. Mr. Bailey was the type of man to play baseball with the neighborhood kids on the front lawn. He witnessed his son and grandsons get their first hole-in-one. Mrs. Bailey was the explorer who opened the children’s eyes to the great outdoors and family get togethers. She was the Boy Scout den mother, the Girl Scout leader and Sunday school teacher. If the children had a trip or event they wanted or needed to attend, she was there or played a major role in the activity. ?
The Baileys are a family with great family values, and morals some of the things our country is built on. They have shared their love over the years with their children, family and friends. They are blessed to celebrate this wonderful event with the oldest family member, Smitty Henry, Mary’s father, and Ayonna Bailey, Mary and Joe’s youngest great grandchild. They continue to provide a home where we can receive support and love when needed.
