On Jan. 3, Ivan Bates, an attorney of more than 25 years, was sworn in as the new Baltimore City State’s Attorney. On his first day in office he reversed some of former State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby’s policies, such as the non-prosecution policy on low-level offenses.
