Dear Friend,
Millions of Americans rely on the coverage that the Affordable Care Act (ACA) guarantees. From lifting pre-existing condition restrictions to removing coverage caps or limits to preventative health care, the ACA has had a dramatic and positive impact on the lives of countless citizens. The Republican effort to repeal the ACA without an adequate plan for replacement will have a devastating impact on millions of Marylanders. We cannot let that happen. I spoke on the Senate floor earlier this week to discuss this pressing issue.

Speaking on the Senate floor, however, is not enough to stop this repeal. That is why I will join members of the Maryland Congressional Delegation and health care advocates from across the state at an event devoted to exploring the dangers of repealing the Affordable Care Act. I hope you will join us on Tuesday, January 17th at 7:00PM at Mt. Ennon Baptist Church, 9832 Piscataway Road, Clinton, MD 20735. I have attached a flyer with additional information on this important discussion.
Please RSVP by calling my office at 410-962-4436 or emailing my office at events@cardin.senate.gov. I also encourage you to forward this email to others in your network who are concerned about the negative impacts of repealing the Affordable Care Act without an adequate plan for replacement.

Your Friend,

Sen. Benjamin Cardin
