Pallbearers carry the casket of Darrien Hunt following funeral services Thursday, Sept. 18, 2014, in Saratoga Springs, Utah. Friends and family of the young black man fatally shot by Utah police remembered him Thursday as a shy, gentle and wise man who loved art and music and was trying to find his way through a transition into adulthood. Hunt was killed on Sept. 10 in a strip mall in the upscale city south of Salt Lake City. The fatal shooting didn’t get much attention until Hunt’s mother came out days later and said she believed her son was shot because he was black. Authorities, however, say race played no role in the shooting. They say officers were reacting to Hunt lunging at them with a sword that had a 2.5-foot steel blade.(AP Photo/Rick Bowmer)
