On May 1, students, family and friends filled the seats at Show Place Arena to witness and cheer for their respective high schools in the “2010 Teen Take Over High School Fashion Show Battle,” a fashion “walk-off” between 12 high schools in the Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia metropolitan area.

Students were the force behind all aspects of the show, which encompassed art direction, set decoration and design, fashion design, choreography, dance and event production.  This year’s themes were “Dream Wars,” “Bed Rock News” and “Avatar,” the latter of which is displayed here by students from Potomac High.

For the first time in the history of the Catwalk Classic, the winning modeling team, Wise High School, prevailed based on their performance in the fashion show and the team’s cumulative GPA. Wise received a $1,500 prize.
