According to the Historic Naval Ships Association, “USCGC Taney is one of seven Treasury/Secretary-class cutters built for the Coast Guard in the Mid-1930s.” The ship was present during the 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor in Hawaii and was decommissioned on Dec. 7, 1986. The ship now has a home in the Baltimore Inner Harbor.
