This year the Naval Medical Research Center (NMRC) sent sailors to do demonstrations of their work alongside the USS Carter Hall (LSD-50). The U.S. Navy ship is named in honor of Carter Hall, the famous Virginia residence of politician and slave owner, Nathaniel Burwell.
