NBA icon Michael Jordan is engaged to his girlfriend of three years, Cuban-American model Yvette Prieto, his publicist said Dec. 29.

Jordan, 48, and Prieto, 32, got engaged on Christmas Day, according to the Associated Press. No wedding date has been set.

It will be Jordan’s second marriage; he was married to Juanita Vanoy from September 1989 until their divorce in 2006, and has three children with her. According to The Los Angeles Times, Vanoy pocketed $186 million when the couple split.

Jordan is the owner of the NBA’s Charlotte Bobcats and, according to CNN, is the first former player to become the majority owner of one of the league’s franchises.

The NBA legend also made headlines just before Christmas when the release of his new Nike basketball shoe caused a shopping frenzy at stores nationwide.
