From Boston to Washington, D.C., the Northeast has experienced scorching temperatures nearing 100 degrees and even topping 103 degrees in certain areas. The Baltimore-Washington metro area saw temperatures surpassing the 100-degree mark and BWI Thurgood Marshall broke its previous heat record, 101 degrees, with a boiling 105-degree peak.
