Authorities say one of four people wanted in connection with a shooting aboard a Metro red line train in Takoma Park, which is located in Montgomery County, Md., has been arrested and charged with assault.

Metro Transit Police said in a statement Aug. 7 that 18-year-old Jermaine Brown of Seat Pleasant, Md., which is located in Prince George’s County, has been arrested and charged with assault.
Transit Police say an investigation showed the victim in the shooting is the half-brother of the suspect and police don’t believe he was the intended target. Police say Brown was traveling with his half-brother on Aug. 6 when there was an altercation aboard the train involving Brown and three other individuals.
Police say during the altercation Brown pulled a gun and fired multiple times, striking his half-brother once in the abdomen. Brown’s half-brother remains hospitalized in stable condition.
Police are working to locate the other three individuals involved in the altercation.
