The Harvard Law School Association of Washington, D.C. recently selected Pr. George’s County State’s Attorney Glenn F. Ivey as its new president, according to a press statement. Ivey succeeds District-based attorney Paul L. Perito, who led the local chapter for 14 years.

Ivey, a former federal prosecutor, graduated with honors from Princeton University in 1983 and Harvard Law School in 1986. He went on to become a prosecutor with the U.S. Department of Justice and is the first chairman of the board of directors for the American Prosecutors Association. ?The HLSA-DC is an association of Harvard Law School alumni who live and work in the Washington, D.C. area. The group hosts events for distinguished graduates, including Capitol Hill lawmakers and judges.
