Cardin to Address Overseas Private Investment Corporation Workshop for Small Businesses Entering International Markets
TOMORROW, Friday, November 18 at 9:15 AM, U.S. Senator Ben Cardin (D-Md.) will deliver remarks to small business leaders from throughout the Mid-Atlantic region on the importance of developing new business opportunities in international markets. Senator Cardin, the Ranking Member of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations and a senior member of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, will underscore the importance of continually identifying new opportunities for small businesses to expand on a global level and working with federal partners to ensure a level playing field for competition.
“America’s small business leaders and entrepreneurs are innovators and risk-takers by nature, so it makes perfect sense that they lead the way in identifying new markets and untapped regions for potential growth,” said Senator Cardin. “It also is imperative that small businesses have strong partnerships at all levels of government so that their elected officials understand the issues affecting their success and the opportunities to shape policies to promote American business overseas.”
