‘The Wire’ actress Sonja Sohn, who portrayed Det. Kima Griggs on the crime drama was arrested recently for cocaine possession. 

According to TMZ, Sohn, known legally as Sonja Denise, Plack, was arrested July 21, just after 2:00 a.m. in North Carolina for marijuana and drug paraphernalia after she was stopped for expired registration and driving on a revoked license.

During the traffic stop, police found the marijuana and an unspecified amount of cocaine in a purse. 

Sohn was charged with felony cocaine possession, misdemeanor possession for marijuana drug paraphernalia, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

The cocaine charge is a felony. Sohn bailed herself out of jail, just six minutes after being arrested. 

Her bond was set at $1,500. Her arraignment was scheduled for Tuesday. 

Sohn played Detective Shakima Greggs on all five seasons of the Baltimore based “The Wire.”

She currently stars in the Chicago based drama “The Chi.”
