What happens when you visit a National Park and people from the past reach out and talk to you? What does it feel like to hold the 170 year old diary of a girl exactly your own age?
Baltimore School for the Arts theater students explore answers to these questions in “Finding the Story: Confronting the Past,” three short plays about historic Hampton Plantation just north of Baltimore city. Partnering with the National Park Service and Historic Hampton Plantation, students and playwrights created scripts based on actual documents about the people who lived and worked at the historic plantation. The plays will be presented on Feb. 20 at 2 p.m. at 535 Hampton Lane, Towson, MD 21286. For more information, go to nps.gov/hamp or call 410-823-1309 XT 254.
