Legendary boxer Thomas “Hitman” Hearns held an auction April 2 to help pay off nearly half a million dollars in tax debt, The Associated Press reported.

According to the AP, Hearns, 51, auctioned off a 1957 Chevy, three boats, six ATVs, a three-wheeled motorcycle and boxing memorabilia to cut into his $448,000 debt with the IRS.

Hearns said he didn’t know yet how much the auction raised, but did tell reporters the event “went well,” and Obie Moore, owner of the Auction Block, said the IRS was “on hand and will get the money.”

Hearns is considered one of the greatest boxers ever, capturing the WBA, WBC, WBU and IBO titles during his nearly 20-year career.
