In this April 23, 2010 photo, members of the band Los Aldeanos, Aldo Rodriguez, left, and “EL B,” right, perform in concert at the Acapulco Theater in Havana, Cuba. Documents obtained by The Associated Press show that a U.S. agency infiltrated Cuba’s hip-hop scene, recruiting unwitting rappers to spark a youth movement against the government. Aldo was a hero in the hip-hop underground for lyrics protesting the Castro government’s grip on everyday life in songs like “El Rap Es Guerra,” or “Rap Is War,” words he tattooed on his forearm. He and his group were unknowingly sucked into a tug-of-war between Havana and Washington. (AP Photo)
