This May 17, 2012 photo released by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation shows J.C.X. Simon. Simon was one of the four men convicted of participating in a string of racially motivated attacks in the mid-1970s that killed 14 people and injured seven in San Francisco. The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation said Friday, March 13, 2015, that Simon was found dead in his cell shortly before midnight Thursday.
