Franchot to Speak at GBC Newsmaker Breakfast; Tour Towson for Shop Maryland for Holidays

WHAT:          Comptroller Franchot will give the keynote speech at the Greater Baltimore Committee (GBC) Newsmaker Breakfast Monday morning in Baltimore. His speech is part of a “Meet the Newsmakers” series during which elected officials, government or business leaders discuss top issues affecting the business community and economic growth in the Baltimore region. The GBC is a regional membership organization of more than 500 businesses, nonprofit organizations and educational and civic institutions.

Later that day, the Comptroller will take his sixth Shop Maryland for the Holidays tour at the Shops at Kenilworth to encourage Towson residents to shop locally to support their neighborhood businesses. The Comptroller will be joined by local elected, business and community leaders on the tour which begins at Stebbins Anderson followed by stops at Towson Bootery, Ashley’s Sweet Beginnings, The Holiday Train Garden and ending at The Bead.
