On June 9, U.S. Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD 7th District) will serve as the keynote speaker at the American Cancer Society’s African American Men’s Health Conference at Coppin State University.

At the event, various health professionals will be on hand to conduct free health screenings. Exhibitors will also provide information on various health topics including heart disease, diabetes and cancer-the major health problems faced by African American men. The event will also feature information sessions on major health topics and provide an open forum for African American men to discuss health issues.

On June 16, a follow-up event will be hosted at Morgan State University.
